A imagem fotográfica liga-se à sua própria ontologia: de carregar um conteúdo que há muito esteve latente, detalhes de uma realidade oculta, segregados em ambientes de contracultura - e revelá-los. O zoom óptico faz nascer uma monarquia dismórfica: Queens, Kings & Queers. Corpos que transitam entre representações e se utilizam da arte, da atuação e da performance para questionar a estilização do próprio ato performativo cotidiano. Este livro é um objeto circular que não se esgota. Um aparelho manual, imagético e social, que se monta ao aliar o poder de miniaturização e democratização da fotografia à potência do movimento drag, que ao ironizar a hierarquia social mostram que gênero não é algo que se usa, não é produto de consumo, mas espaço de luta e poesia. Queens, Kings & Queers se encaram em palcos plurais. Se complementam em suas próprias dissidências estéticas, formais e discursivas. E carregam consigo novas perguntas para infinitas respostas. This is a stage book. The debut of a narrative about bodies that rise up. Subversion of a hegemonic system of identity classification and of language itself. Monarchical words are taken to empty them of their colonial meanings and inflate them with poetic discourses in a breath of renewal. The photographic image is linked to its own ontology: of carrying a content that has long been latent, details of a hidden reality, segregated in countercultural environments - and revealing them. The optical zoom gives birth to a dysmorphic monarchy: Queens, Kings & Queers. Bodies that move between representations and use art, acting and performance to question the stylisation of the everyday performative act itself. This book is a circular object that never ends. A manual, imagetic and social apparatus that is assembled by combining the power of miniaturisation and democratisation of photography with the power of the drag movement, which, by ironising social hierarchy, shows that gender is not something that is worn, it is not a consumer product, but a space for struggle and poetry. Queens, Kings & Queers face each other on plural stages. They complement each other in their own aesthetic, formal and discursive dissidence. And they carry with them new questions for infinite answers. Between reality and royalty, the courage to become who you are reigns supreme.
